Mission and Vision

 

With ATLAS, our goal is to transform the quality of the national addiction treatment system by promoting transparency and empowering individuals and families to navigate to appropriate, high-quality care.

 

We know that we can only accomplish this by bringing together communities from across the addiction landscape. 
Our vision for each group reflects the unique strengths of these different stakeholders.

Individuals & Families States Payers Treatment Providers Advocates & Community Stakeholders
Serving as a trusted resource nationally to educate and empower individuals and families to find high-quality addiction treatment that meets their needs on their journey to long-term recovery Functioning as a trusted partner and offering a validated data platform to identify and improve upon quality gaps within the treatment community, expand upon existing state government capacity, and optimize state resources available to the public.  Offering an independent, unique, and trusted data resource to drive quality decision-making, advance value-based models, and support members in locating quality addiction treatment Partnering with providers to develop and maintain a single trusted platform for transparent and validated data on treatment quality and support continuous quality improvement to advance the adoption of evidence-based practices in addiction treatment. Acting as a key thought leader among stakeholders across the addiction landscape to advance quality addiction and drive health equity treatment across communities.

Want to help ATLAS grow?

 

We continue to meet with interested state agencies from many states across the country and hope to add additional states to ATLAS as we work towards our goal of being in all 50! More information will be available on which states we will be adding in the coming months, but we are always interested in talking with new states we may not already be connected to.

We are continuously in talks with state agencies and local stakeholders about expanding ATLAS, and welcome any suggestions you have on individuals to reach out to. A typical agency we’d partner with might be a state health department or a bureau of alcohol and substance abuse services.
